Special needs for disabled people

The "Joëlette"

How to enable physically disabled persons to visit natural spots?

Joël Claudel, a French mountain guide, relative of a child suffering from myopathy found an efficient solution : he fastened a wheel under a seat resting on stretchers. He created an accessible hiking vehicle he named the "Joëlette".

The vehicle improved with the passing years, gaining comfort for the hiker and lightness for the carriers. Actually two persons are needed to maneuver it safely (the learning is very quick).

That is how trails in Nepal or Morocco could see strolling this funny carriage. And now Costa Rica too!

Since Caminando Costa Rica owns the latest version of this unfailing vehicle, we decided to put the "Joëlette" at our disabled clients’ disposal.

For the pleasure of discovery and sharing : an unforgettable experience…
