Río Savegre

Hiking and Rafting

4 days / 3 nights

D1 - San José / Los Campesinos

Meeting in San José at 8 am and departure by minibus to Quepos and the reserve Los Campesinos. Los Campesinos is a great initiative from the village's inhabitants to find an economic alternative to their vanilla producing activity. They bought a property to build a rural lodge as well as a spectacular suspension bridge above a beautiful waterfall. Meals and night at the lodge.

D2 - Los Campesinos / Tinamú

Hiking towards another village lost in Quepos heights : San Isidro de Dota. Warm welcome in a family developing the same kind of rustic accommodation in a fantastic setting stretching out from the Cerro de la Muerte to the Pacific. Meals and night in typical rancho.

D3 - Rafting Río Savegre / El Silencio

Start of the walk to the Savegre River by a nice wild trail. Boarding on the raft and if the conditions are favourable, you will go down the river.
